Yoga in the Workplace

Facilitating a yoga class

All that’s needed to facilitate a yoga class in your workplace is an empty room in a quiet area that is large enough to hold up to 14 people.

Once people have signed up to attend the class, I will ask them to complete a contact and health questionnaire so that modifications can be made to the class to accommodate their needs.

Each attendee will need to bring a yoga/exercise mat, a bottle of water, a blanket/cushion and suitable clothing for movement and relaxation.

What to expect

While the classes last one hour, I advise attendees to arrive ten minutes before the start so they can ask questions and address any concerns, making me aware of any physical issues or pain they may have.

It also means they can switch off mentally from their hectic day before the class begins.

The class is split into four different sections comprising a warm-up, a yoga sequence, several yoga postures and, finally, a guided relaxation.

The process

The classes are bespoke depending on your needs.

For example:

  • A weekly class over six weeks specifically aimed at helping employees with back, shoulder and neck pain to manage and improve their condition.
  • A six-week package to help manage low mood, anxiety and stress.
  • A one-off class as part of a team/wellbeing event.

Please contact me directly by either telephone or email with any enquiries or requests.

Availability

I am available weekdays, evenings and weekends.

If you require a specific date, I will endeavour to work other commitments around it, but please give sufficient notice where possible.
